Sharon Parkes

Sharon Ann Parkes was born on August 6, 1944 in Hammond, Indiana, and passed away on April 14, 2023 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 78. Sharon was the beloved wife of Jimmie Parkes. Together, they have 4 children, Kimberly Counterman, Kristina Parkes, Craig Parkes, Kelly Parkes, and daughter in law Shaton Parkes. Sharon was the proud grandmother of 8, Jessica, Michael, Justin, Brittany, Shelby, Kyle, Matthew and Caleb. Cherished great-grandmother of Kaylee, Aubrie, Carlos, Addison, Saygen, Eben, Sophia, Alexander, Isabella and Alivia. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Evelyn. Along with her sister, Patricia Wagner.

Sharon cherished every moment spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She will be dearly loved, missed and remembered by those who knew her. A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home.
