Sara Schmitt

Sara Schmitt, age 65 was born on April 11, 1954 in Mayfield, Ky and passed away on September 11 2019 at her home in Holt. Beloved wife of Michael for 47 years and dearest mother to Michael Jr, Colleen (Dave) Cole, Daniel, Katherine (Jason) Combs and Rachel.

Also survived by her siblings Rick (Ev) Janes, Tom (Maria) Janes, Sandra Jenuwine, and Janet (John) Schrup. Treasured grandmother of Liam, Kieran and Benjamin.

Sara loved her dogs Kiki and Toodles. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant for many years and was very compassionate at her job. Sara had such an impact on all she met during her time with us. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, warmth, genuineness, and most importantly, her unwavering love for her family. She will be missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 5pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 8pm at the Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot, Roseville followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
