Sally Jo Luchtan (Hurtubise) Passed unexpectedly.
Beloved wife to Roy Luchtan. Devoted mother to Sandy Jo (Charles) Tyburski. Treasured grandmother to Andrew, Heather(Brian) Klopp, Kyle Burgess, Mike (Liz) Burgess, and Mary Burgess. Proud and adored great grandmother to Avery, Bella, Reagan, Hannah, Hunter, Maxine and Anthony. Loving sister to Carol and Carl Zaccardelli. Beloved sister-in-law to Dianne Luchtan, Kathleen Luchtan, and April (Ross) Klatte. She was preceded in death by her daughter Dawn (Danny) Burgess and brother John (Sue) Zaccardelli.
Sally Loved Life, she loved: Dancing, Traveling, Urban and Rural Exploring, Camping & Campfires, Road Trips to nowhere and Estate sales. She loved Boating, Floating and Beaches. She loved: Eclectic events, Vaudeville, Burlesque, Urban art, Knick-knacks, Shopping and Health Food Stores. Music–LivCe Blues, Rock, Bluegrass, Old Country, Electronic, Jam Sessions, Punk, Steven Tyler, Grateful Dead, Roy Rogers and Andrea Bocelli. Old time radio shows, Horror Flicks, “Who-Done-Its”, Thrillers, Funny Puppies and Babies. Sally Loved: Grapes, Ice-cream, Buttermilk, Peaches, and Pie. Any bar or restaurant in Hamtramck, old Greek-town or the Florida Keys. Fall colors, Spring flowers, Mountain roads called to her. Colorful clothes, hats, shoes and multitudes of earrings—All needed to match or be paired before leaving home—even to the beach. She was my sunshine. Her grand and great grandkids brought her great joy and pleasure. She always wanted to cuddle and love-up the little ones and appreciated them as they grew and became adults. She was proud of them all. She’d drop whatever we were doing if one called to ask her to join them (as long as we were within 1 or 2 states away). Long talks with her daughter, sister and brother, grand kids and sisters-in-law were always enjoyed, whether she had anything to say or not. She hated texting and her flip-phone. but hated my smart phone even more. Her memory was legendary, remembering every detail of our 35 yrs.
