Ronnie Ellsworth Smith

Ronnie Ellsworth Smith, known affectionately as Ron, passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 61 in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on July 29, 1962, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Throughout his life, Ron possessed a strong work ethic as he served as a maintenance technician for many years. Beyond his professional achievements, Ron was adored by all who knew him. He had a warm heart and shared a deep bond with his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

He was an avid enthusiast of 80s music and all genres of television shows and movies, Ron found immense joy in immersing himself in these forms of entertainment. One of Ron's greatest pleasures was spending quality time with his loved ones, especially during joyful gatherings and family barbeques. Sharing laughter and creating lasting memories with those he held dear brought him an immeasurable amount of happiness.

Among those who will dearly miss Ron are his beloved wife, Rose; their daughter Angel; and their grandchildren Selena, Jeremiah, Karmella, and Joshua. Additionally, his great-grandchild Johnathan.

Ron's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his surviving family members and friends. His brother Bill shared many memorable experiences with him at car shows throughout their lives. Brothers Roy and sisters Diane and Lisa also hold dear memories of their time together with Ron.

Ron was preceded in death by his sons Ronnie and David, as well as his siblings Rita, Albert, Rosemary, Geneva, and Mark. He was also preceded by his loving parents Roy and Ruth.

Ron will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. He will be missed and loved forever.
