Rita Sears-Howard

Rita Rose Sears-Howard, age 79 was born on September 22, 1938 and passed away peacefully at her home in Warren on July 26, 2018. Beloved sister of Danny and is also survived by her niece Paula along with many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Clarence Leo, mother Eleanor Julia, siblings Diane, Virginia and Sonny.

Rita liked playing bingo, poker (she was a card shark) and going to the Upper Peninsula with her nieces and nephews. Her mother Eleanor kept the family together and was called “Grandma Sears”.

Rita is no longer suffering and is resting in peace. She was definitely one of a kind woman with the Heart of Gold, stubborn as could be on the outside but really a softie on the inside. Rita was everyone's ‘Auntie Rita’ and she loved to crack little jokes and make everyone laugh. She could tell some really interesting stories and was very witty. She loved all her great nieces/nephews and would be so tickled to see the little ones play. It would make her feel so good to give them stuffed animals.

The family that loved each other forever. No matter what. Nothing has never come between us. We have a bond that will always be forever. She will be missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at the Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066.
