Raphael Richard Okie

Raphael Richard Okie, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023, at the age of 93. He was born on May 27, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Josephine Okie.

Raphael had a deep sense of duty and honor. He proudly served in the army, dedicating a portion of his life to protecting his country.

Although Raphael was dedicated to his profession, his true joy came from spending time with his family. Watching sports brought him great pleasure, but nothing compared to the joy he found in the company of his loved ones.

One of Raphael's proudest accomplishments was his marriage to his late wife Bernadine Okie. Together they shared 58 beautiful years filled with love.

Raphael now joins Bernadine in eternal peace as he is preceded in death by her and his loving parents John and Josephine Okie. He is also reunited with his dear siblings Raymond, Grace, John, and Virginia who have gone before him.

He will forever be remembered by his son Drake Steven Okie, daughter Karen Prince, and grandchildren Miara, Dalton, Devan, Melissa as well as great-grandchildren Daxon and Henlee. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. A caring cremation was entrusted to Cremation Society of Roseville.
