Phyllis Marie Moser, passed away August 22, 2014 at American House East II where she resided for 10 years. Born in Detroit on August 4, 1936, she was the eldest daughter of Alexander and Alice Moser. After graduating from St Mary's High School in Mt Clemens, class of 1954, she attended Marygrove College to be a teacher. She taught at Sacred Heart High School, Roseville from 1958 - 1970 while taking post graduate studies at the University of Detroit.
She ended her teaching career as a English teacher at Regina High School in Harper Woods in 1999. During retirement she devoted her time to caring for her mother and aunt while lecturing at Sacred Heart Church in Roseville. Phyllis was a avid reader, wonderful teacher and a person of great faith.
She is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Alice Moser. Survivors include her sister Marian (Stanley) Haid and brother Al Moser. Special thanks to the Hospice team of Michigan.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8:30pm at the Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot, Roseville. She will be in state on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church Roseville, at 10am until Mass at 10:30. Burial will take place at Mt Olivet Cemetery Detroit.
