Nicholas Gerrard Saliga, resident of Roseville and Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 60 surrounded by his loved ones, Nick bid farewell after bravely fighting a long illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph Saliga Jr. and Bernice Kosmowski and spent his formative years in North Warren. Nicholas graduated from Warren Woods High School in 1982 before marrying Leslie Dwyer in 1998 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, eventually settling down in Roseville.
In 2003, Nick realized his entrepreneurial dream by establishing CMN Fabrication, a metal fabrication shop catering predominantly to the auto industry. A true master craftsman of steel and wood, he lent his skillful hands to create furniture and kitchen cabinets that adorned numerous homes. Beyond work, Nicholas cherished life's simple joys - from entertaining guests in his Pole barn to indulging in the art of cooking and meat smoking. His love for the outdoors shone brightly through activities like boating, snowmobiling, and ATV riding. Nick will be remembered mostly for being fun, with a great sense of humor and his love for family and friends.
Nicholas Gerrard Saliga is survived by his devoted wife Leslie, five siblings - Joseph (Lisa) Saliga, Jeffrey (Linda Werenski) Saliga, Michelle Saliga, and Donna Adkins - along with seven nieces and nephews: Jeffrey Dwyer, Joslyn Dwyer, Olivia (Christopher) Smith, Jarred Dwyer, Jerricka Dwyer, and Alexandria Adkins as well as nine great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Nicholas Gerrard Saliga will be held at Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Roseville for visitation on April 24th from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM followed by the Rossary at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held at St. Faustina Parish in Warren on April 25th at 10:30 AM with burial to follow.
