Mary Carolan-Weiland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away on November 29, 2023. She was born on April 10, 1958.
Mary's life will be celebrated through a "Celebration of Life" held at the Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Roseville, MI. This will take place on December 6, 2023, starting at 5:00 PM and concluding at 7:00 PM.
Mary embraced life with a sense of joy and passion. She had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought her happiness and fulfillment. Knitting was one of her favorite pastimes; she often created beautiful works of art with her knitting needles. Mary also loved camping and spending time outdoors, where she could connect with nature's beauty. Gardening allowed her to cultivate vibrant flowers and plants, bringing color and life to her surroundings. In addition to her green thumb, Mary had a creative side that found expression through arts and crafts projects. She skillfully crafted unique pieces that showcased her creativity and attention to detail. Most importantly, Mary cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Russell Weiland III, her daughter Julie Fisher, treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren that includes Erica (Forrest) Folson, Justin McCoy, Carsen McCoy, Robert Fisher Jr., Matthew Fisher, Cassius Folson, Ermias Folson, Amirah Folsen, Amoura Folsen, Luka Fisher, Aaleyah McCoy as well as her sisters Kathleen (Jerard) Furdek, Charity (Wade) Caverly, and half-sister Sarah Carolan.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Robert Fisher and her brothers James Patrick Carolan II and Wesley O'Day. Though their absence is deeply felt, their memories will forever be held close to the hearts of those who loved them.
Mary Carolan-Weiland will be remembered for her warm heart and will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew her.
