Genevieve Schornak

Genevieve Wanda Schornak (nee Hutnik) age 94 was born on September 28, 1923 in Detroit, and passed away on January 28, 2018 at St Mary’s Nursing & Rehab Center in St Clair Shores. Beloved mother of Jan, Diane Mirvis, Susan Wedemeyer, Carolyn Bohan and was pre deceased by her husband Harold. She will be deeply missed by her 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Is it a coincidence that she is survived by 4 children, 4 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren?

Genevieve loved being a mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the Lottery and won often. Genevieve will be missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her.

Instate Thursday, February 1, 2018, 11:30am until time of 12 noon Mass at The National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica,  2100 W. 12 Mile Road, Royal Oak, Michigan 48073-3910. Burial will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery. Donations to St. Jude's in memory of Genevieve can be made in lieu of flowers.
