Forrest Ottinger

January 19, 1938 — January 10, 2020

Forrest A. Ottinger, age 81 was born on January 19, 1938 in Detroit and passed away on January 10, 2020. Beloved husband to Helene and father to Michael (Angela), Ed (Kathleen) Martin, Deborah (Tim) Kresek and Stephen Martin. Treasured grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Forrest is also survived by his sibling’s Tim (Judy), Richard (Denise) and was predeceased by Barbara, William, Robert and Charles.

Forrest loved to read books and went fishing. He won many trophies for bowling. Forrest served our country in the Marines. He had such an impact on all he met during his time with us. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, warmth, genuineness, and most importantly, his unwavering love for his family. Forrest will be missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him.

There will be a memorial service at Cornerstone Baptist Church of Roseville, 17017 E 12 Mile Rd, Roseville on Saturday, January 25, 2020 with visitation from 10am to 11am followed with the Church service and luncheon. His ashes will be placed in a niche at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
