Evesta Clanton, a cherished member of the Detroit community, was born on November 2, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan. He left this world on January 13, 2025, also in Detroit.
A lover of jazz, Evesta found solace and inspiration in the vibrant melodies that characterized his favorite music genre. In moments of quiet reflection, he enjoyed challenging his mind with crossword puzzles.
Evesta is survived by his sister, Avon Clanton; brothers, Mickey (Jan) Clanton, Lonnie Clanton, and Cornell Clanton; as well as his aunt, Mamie Martin, and uncle, Earl Williams. He leaves behind an extensive network of family, friends, and cousins who will forever remember him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Clanton Jr., and his mother, Eula Clanton. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew an loved him.
A caring cremation was entrusted to Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot Ave. Roseville, Michigan 48066.
