Edward Joseph Chechet

Edward Joseph Chechet, born on October 26, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully passed away on December 2, 2023, in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Edward was a man of many talents and interests. He had a deep passion for music and was known for his remarkable skills playing the saxophone and clarinet. His melodic tunes would often fill the air with joy and create a warm atmosphere wherever he played.

In addition to music, Edward enjoyed bowling and was always up for a friendly competition. He cherished the time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing laughter together. Alongside his bowling skills, Edward also had a keen interest in playing cards.

Edward is survived by his children Cynthia, Stephen, and Barbara, as well as his grandchildren Sara, Joseph, Ian, and Katarina, and he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice Chechet. 

To honor Edward's life and pay tribute, family and friends are invited to attend visitation services at Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 28605 Gratiot Ave in Roseville, MI on December 9, 2023. The visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
