Dennis Morrow known affectionately as “The Bald Eagle” has taken flight to his final destination, leaving this earthly plane on New Years Day at age 82. Dennis meant so much to so many people, positively impacting their lives in unique ways. His battle with cancer was managed, supported and lovingly cared for by his wife Barbara Conner. Dennis’s four children, Liza (Ken) Pasini, Shawn (Rhonda) Morrow, Renee Williams, Cristina Morrow along with his Granddaughter Taryn will forever cherish the loving guidance, intellect, humor and passion for life he generously shared. Dennis is predeceased by his parents Rose and Edwin Morrow, his brother Delle (Jill) Morrow and his second wife Carolyn Buck.
Dennis’s outgoing nature and vibrant personality created a wide network of acceptance for those around him. His many interests contributed to an admirable career. At Cass Tech High School in Detroit he focused on Mechanical Engineering, equipping him with the skills and confidence to purchase his first business, Ashton Wreckers (Tow Truck Manufacturing) at age 28. This venture led him to establish Eagle Industrial Trucks, where he designed and manufactured bobtail trucks that moved planes and luggage carts around airport tarmacs. Later in life Dennis became sober and was involved with AA by holding various positions within the program and serving as a sponsor to many individuals across metro Detroit, Las Vegas and California.
While it’s impossible to fully encapsulate the vibrant life of such an extraordinary man, it’s clear that he made the most of his time on earth. He will be remembered as an intelligent, positive, motivating force who influenced all those fortunate to know him. He will be deeply missed…
While no public services will be offered, a private gathering in his honor will be held at a later date.
