C. Zmick

C. Stanley Zmick, 86, passed away November 4 peacefully at his home. He was born Nov 5,1926 in Detroit and was pre-deceased by his wife Evelyn and son Stephen. He is survived by his children Bruce (Jan), Sharon, Brian (Peggy Charland), Julie (Mike), Eric (Sheryl), John, Barbara (Dennis), Sam (Janet) and Kari. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, siblings Deatta, Janet, Joe and was pre-deceased by his brother Don.

He was a proud veteran of World War, II and a charter member of Father Solanus Casey Council #3797. He retired in 1987 from Carpenters Union Local 687 and was a longtime summer resident of Port Austin. He was cared for in his final years by his loving daughter Kari who always had a day trip or adventure planned for him.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-9 and Thursday from 2-9 at the Walter Scott Skupny Funeral Home, 28605 Gratiot, 2 blocks south of 12 mile, Roseville. A Rosary will be held on Thursday at 7pm and he will be in state Friday at 9am followed by a 10am Mass celebration at Sacred Heart Church.
