The world lost another member of the silent generation. Barbara Sue Kincaid – Wife, Mom, Grammy, Nana and Aunt Mack - passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family in the early hours of Wednesday, December 1, 2021. We will remember Barb as a spitfire of a woman who could make anyone in the room laugh with her quick witted one liners, delivered in the sweetest southern accent. She was happiest when she was in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends. She always had company stopping by to visit her and she made sure no one ever left hungry. If you knew Barb, you knew she loved pigs and collected thousands of pig trinkets - giving them each a perfect spot throughout her home. You could often find her sitting in her favorite chair at the kitchen table enjoying a cup of black coffee. Her deep desire to help those around her and open her door to anyone in need will be forever remembered and cherished.
Barb was born on June 11th, 1939, to Finley & Daisey Farmer in Loyall, Kentucky. She was one of fourteen children and just like her parents, wanted a large family of her own. Barb went on to marry her late husband, Estel “Roy” Kincaid Sr. where they were blessed with four children, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. They planted their roots in Roseville, Michigan a home that quickly became the holiday gathering place for years to come.
Barbara is survived by her children, Brenda Giaccobi, Leroy (Kelly) Kincaid, Donna (Mike) Paye and Dana (Rob) Canary; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jeff) Giaccobi, Alan (Christine) Marschner Jr, Nicole (Dan) Kent, Estel (Alexandra) Kincaid III, Brandy (Justin) Barthel, Jonathon (Curissa) Isaacs, Cheyeanne (Brandon) Isaacs, Jacob Keller, and Justin Keller; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Allison, Jonick, Nathan, Shane, Brendan, Owen, Keegan, Elliana, Zola, John, Savannah, Colton, and Spencer. She is also survived by her two sisters, Leila (Bob) Ward and Mary (Wayne) Stamper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Estel “Roy” Kincaid Sr., daughter in law, Tammy Kincaid, Son in law, Anthony Giaccobi, Grandson son, Michael Giaccobi, and eleven siblings.
A celebration of Barbara's life to reminisce on the good days and share special memories will take place on Sunday, January 30th 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Knights of Columbus - 25003 Little Mack Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48080.
